- 1940
- Kansai Light Metal Reproduction Industry Co., Ltd. established from the former Recycled Aluminum Industry.
- 1941
- Merged with Imperial Aluminum Control Co., Ltd. (later, Light Metal Control Association) under state control.
- 1946
- Reestablished due to the post-war decontrol, and later changed its name to Kansai Light Metal Co., Ltd.
- 1972
- Ibaraki Plant completed (formerly, Kansai Light Metal Co., Ltd.)
- 1980
- Shinshiro Plant completed (formerly, Sumi-Al Alloy Co., Ltd.)
- 1982
- Shiga Plant completed (formerly, Kansai Light Metal Co., Ltd.)
- 1991
- The former Kansai Light Metal Co., Ltd. and the former Sumi-Al Alloy Co., Ltd. (established in 1970) merged equally to start Summit Aluminum Co., Ltd.
- 2001
- The Shiga and Shinshiro plants obtained "ISO 14001" certification.
- 2002
- The Ibaraki Plant obtained "ISO 14001" certification.
- 2004
- All Shiga, Shinshiro, and Ibaraki plants as well as the Head Office (in Osaka) and Tokyo and Nagoya Offices obtained "ISO 9001" certification.
- 2006
- Showa Light Alloy Co., Ltd. (established in 1986), a wholly owned subsidiary of Showa Denko, integrated the virgin alloy ingot business. The company name changed to Summit Showa Aluminum Ltd.
- 2013
- The company name changed to S.S.ALUMINUM CO., LTD. when the shareholders changed to ASAHI SEIREN CO., LTD.
- 2017
- ISO 14001 certification consolidated for the Shiga, Shinshiro, and Ibaraki plants.
