Nominal Standard Sample Producing

Wet chemical analysis and optical emission spectroscopic analysis

Wet chemical analysis and optical emission spectroscopic analysis

The R&D Center produces nominal standard samples to determine component values by wet chemical analysis. The plants use these nominal standard samples to conduct high-precision component testing of ingots by optical emission spectroscopic analysis. In this way, we have a quality control system that provides the quality that our customers require.

Quality evaluation of our alloy ingots

Hydrogen gas volume evaluation

Hydrogen gas volume evaluation

When a large amount of hydrogen is dissolved in the molten aluminum alloy, gas defects (pores) form inside the ingots, which reduces product quality. Therefore, casting and die casting manufacturers seek ingots that contain a low amount of hydrogen gas.
We have established a system to ensure the quality of our ingots. Our plants conduct semi-quantitative evaluations to determine the amount of hydrogen gas present by means of a decompression solidification test piece made from molten metal. The Technical Center quantitatively evaluates the amount of hydrogen gas with high precision using a hydrogen gas analyzer (inert gas fusion-thermal conductivity method).
